what is MDDB(multi dimensional database)?

A method of organising,  storing,  referencing data through three or more dimensions. An individual value is the intersection of a point for a set of dimensions.
Multi dimensional database technology is a key factor in the interactive analysis of large amounts of data for decision making purposes.
In multi dimensional databases, data will be stored in cubes rather than two dimensional databases.

MDDB uses slicing and dicing methods to store and analysing data. Slicing means slice of the database, dicing means format the data through different formatting styles.
Example:
it is a 3 dimensional database, slice of database
