Essbase was first introduced by arbor software corporation in 1992. Later arbor software company merged with Hyperion solutions in 1998. After that Oracle corporation acquired Hyperion solutions corporation in 2007. Oracle corporation changes Hyperion essbase to oracle essbase. But this product is more popularised with name Hyperion essbase.
